Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have Passed the 10th /Matriculation or equivalent Exam From Any recognized Board.

Age Limit
The age criteria for the SSC GD 2024 exam is as follows:
- General: 18 to 23 years
- OBC: 18 to 26 years
- SC: 18 to 28 years
- ST: 18 to 28 years
- Ex-servicemen: 18 to 26 years
The age limit is determined based on the candidate’s age as of January 1, 2024. There is a relaxation in the age limit for reserved category candidates and ex-servicemen as per government rules. Candidates who do not fulfill the age criteria are not eligible to apply for the SSC GD 2024 exam.

Exam Pattern
Computer Based Examination:-
- The Computer Based Examination will have an Objective type paper.
- There will be 80 questions and each will be of 2 marks, its structure will be as follows-

- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Therefore, candidates are advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
- Questions in the CBT Mode examination will be of Matriculation/10th level.
Selection Process of SSC GD Constable
The selection process for the SSC GD Constable 2024 exam will consist of the following stages:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The CBT will be an online exam that will test the candidate’s knowledge of general intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and general awareness, elementary mathematics, and English/Hindi.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will test the candidate’s physical fitness. The PET will consist of the following events:
- 1600 meter race
- Long jump
- High jump
- Shot put
3. Physical Standards Test (PST)
The PST will test the candidate’s height, chest, and weight.
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
The DME will test the candidate’s overall health and fitness.
5. Final Selection
The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in all the stages of the selection process. A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the CBT, PET, PST, and DME. Candidates who are shortlisted in the merit list will be recommended for appointment as Constable GD.
