Residential Qualification

• Applicants who are citizens of India as well as come under the category of local residents of Jharkhand, only they will be considered eligible for enrollment in B.Sc. Nursing institutions.
• आवेदक जो भारत के नागरिक होने के साथ-साथ झारखण्ड के स्थानीय निवासी के श्रेणी में आते हैं, वे हीं BSc Nursing संस्थानों में नामांकन के लिए पात्र समझे जायेंगे।

Eligibility Criteria For B.Sc Nursing

B.Sc Nursing ( Basic )

The minimum age for enrollment is 17 years as on December 31, 2025. 10+2 Class passed with Science [PCB] & English Core/ English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board. Student appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks. The student shall be medically fit.

B.Sc Nursing ( Post Basic )

Passed Intermediate OR 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized university OR passed 10+1 in or before 1986. Obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurse Registration Council. For Male Candidate Qualification:- A male nurse trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a Nurse with State Nurses Registration Council shall produce evidence of training approved by. Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas: • O.T. Techniques • Ophthalmic Nursing • Leprosy Nursing • TB Nursing • Psychiatric Nursing • Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing • Community Health Nursing • Cancer Nursing • Orthopedic Nursing

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board was constituted under Section 85 of Bihar Re-Constituted Act, 2000 by the Govt. vide Memo No. 374 dated 29.03.2001. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. J.C.E.C.E.B. presently organizes the following entrance tests annually (depends upon the approval granted by the respective Departments of Govt. of Jharkhand for the respective session.
