Jharkhand Academic Council has issued the official notification for conducting JTET 2024 (Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2024). For this, candidates will be able to JTET apply online from 23 July to 26 August 2024. There will be separate Jharkhand teacher eligibility tests for classes 1st to 5th and 6th to 8th. Only B.Ed and D.El.Ed trained candidates will be able to apply in the teacher eligibility test.
JTET Educational Qualifications
- JTET Minimum Qualification:- Candidates Passed 12th with 50% marks From Any recognized Board and B.Ed / B.EI.Ed / D.Ed / D.El.Ed degree from Government recognized university.

JTET Age Limit
- JTET Minimum Age Limit:- 21 Years.
- JTET Maximum Age Limit:- 40 Years.
JTET Exam Pattern
- JTET exam will be conducted on OMR Sheet.
- JTET questions will be objective and multiple choice type.
- There will be no negative calculation of marks.
- 10+2 level questions will be asked for primary level (classes 1 to 5).
- Graduate level questions will be asked for upper primary level (classes 6 to 8).
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

About JAC
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), is an state government agency responsible for academic administration in the state of Jharkhand, India. The State of Jharkhand came into existence on 15th of November,2000. An Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and assented to by honorable Governor of the State on 26.02.2003 and notified by the government on 04.03.2003, which is known as Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2002 . JAC was primarily constituted for conducting intermediate, secondary, and madrasa-level examinations of the candidates registered with government-recognized institutions.
